RITCHIE, Garth McVane:

Garth passed away peacefully on 23rd of April 2023, aged 90 years, at the Wyndham Resthome. Garth is the only son of Bryce* & Amelia* Ritchie and brother to Merle & Rod* Bruce. Garth is the beloved father and father-in-law to Gail & Greg Poole, Raymond & Debbie Ritchie, Jannette & James Cochrane, and Maria & Bazil Ferreira. Granddad of 15 and Great Granddad of 19. As per wishes, a private cremation has already been held in Invercargill. To celebrate Garth’s life, a service will be held at the Bannockburn Hall on Friday 26th of May at 1pm, followed by afternoon tea, drinks and yarns at the Bannockburn Bowling Club. Garth will be laid to rest in the Nevis Cemetery in the Nevis Valley on Saturday 27th May at 11am where we can have a wee nip for his birthday and say our final farewells. We know Garth will be enjoying a few whiskeys, lawn bowls and duck shooting with all his good mates who have already passed before him.
