Peacefully in the care of Bupa Ascot, Invercargill on Thursday, 22nd August 2024 with her loving family by her side.  In her 93rd year.  Dearly loved wife of the late Tinus.  Loved Mother and Mother-in-law of Jannetta and Maurice Thompson, Tony, Ian and Lee.  Cherished Nana of Lisa and Dave, Kayne, Marius, Reuel and Mel, Jenna and Philip, Anita and Myles and a loved Great Grandmother to her 10 Great Grandchildren.  Loved sister to Nura and loved aunt to Linda.  A service to celebrate Irene’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Wednesday, 28th August at 10:00am.  If you wish to view the service via livestream, please go to the Avenal Park website, obituaries page and click the link on Irene’s page.  Messages to 53 Thomson Street, Avenal, Invercargill 9810.
