Powley, Elsie Myrtle

Peacefully after a short illness on Friday, 8 March 2024 at Southland Hospital, aged 91 years. Loved daughter of Charles* and Olive*, and sister of Charlie* and Margaret*, Ian* and Nola*, Shirley* and Owen*. Dearly loved wife of the late Arthur (Cowboy) and the late Rex. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Sheryle, Annette* and Ross, John and Kay, and step mother to Stephen and Jo.  Cherished by her grandchildren, great grand children and great great grand children.  A very much loved aunt of Sandra and Matthew, Kristina and Nicki and all her nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Elsie’s life will be held in the Bluff Community Church, cnr Palmer and Foyle Streets Bluff on Thursday 14 March at 1.30pm, the service will conclude with a burial at the Greeenpoint Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Southland Hospice would be appreciated.
