McDermott, Sylvia Georgina (Sylv) nee Nunn:

Passed away on 27th February 2023 at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village, aged 92 years, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved wife of Leslie* (Les) and much-loved mother and mother-in-law of Janice & Crawford McMillan (Otautau), Nelson & Val (Cromwell), Warren*, Margaret & partner, Alister McLean (Mataura), Cliff & Anne (Bluff), Edward*, Lindsay & Kate (Gold Coast). Loved Nana Sylv of Tania & Jason, Gail & Blair, Carla, Ricky & Selena, Gavin & Rue, Nathan & Korena, Tracey, Jamie & Carolyn, Shelley & Romel, Hayden & Julia, and Nana Sylv to her 17 Great Grand Children. Loved sister of Cath* & Hec* McKenzie, Gordon* & Margaret* Nunn, Jim* & Bev Nunn, and Auntie to her nieces and nephews. The family wish to acknowledge the loving care and support received from the staff at Rowena Jackson. A celebration of Sylv’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Thursday, 2nd March at 1.30pm, followed by interment at the Eastern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Southland would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
