BENFELL, Fredrick William Donald (Fred):

After many a battle with my health, I let go this time on Monday, September 11th, 2023, to join my parents Bert & Isabelle Benfell and my top working dog “Darky”.  Thank you to my amazing wife, Jeanette Benfell. Your love, devotion, kindness, and support allowed me to live a longer life, more than I could imagine.  I would like others to show support and love to my two sons, Nathan Benfell & Hamish Benfell, my sisters Lorrianne Borthwick, Joy Murray, Irene Benfell – Herron, my brother Stewart Benfell and all their families in my absence.  I didn’t want fuss nor sorrow, so I chose to have a private burial with my family and close friends.  I would also like to acknowledge all the district nurses, carers and the team at Baillie and Lewis Pharmacy who offered such amazing support to me over a number of years.

Dearly loved son of Isabella and Albert (Bert) Benfell.  Loved brother and brother-in-law of Lorraine Borthwick, Stewart Benfell, Joy and Colin Murray, and Irene and Dave Herron.  Loved uncle and great uncle.
